Best Kept Secret...
Unbelievable as it seems, there are still some people on my fList who are not massive fans of the band Luxembourg. This situation MUST be rectified. I have therefore gone to great trouble (and believe me it is great trouble when you've still got bloody dial up) to upload their last single, What The Housewives Don't Tell You, and my personal favourite (I Need) A Little Bit More (Than You Can Give Me) for your listening pleasure. If you have ever liked Suede/Pulp/The Smiths you will love Luxembourg. Even if you haven't you should still listen. Here is the music:

What The Housewives Don't Tell You

(I Need)A Little Bit More(Than You Can Give Me)

You can get much more on the music front by visiting their very comprehensive website:

http://www.luxembourgweb.co.uk/

Now, all of this has been prompted by the fact that their new single Luxembourg Vs Great Britain, is out, on download only, this Friday. You will be able to download it here:

http://www.shiftydisco.com/

If you haven't got a debit or credit card then borrow somebody else's and give them a quid. It will be one of the best quids you spend this year.

Luxembourg's next live gig is on September 3rd (yes the day after Needs play Stay Beautiful making it the best weekend in ages) at The Metro on Oxford Street. Full details on their website.

How this band haven't been on Top Of The Pops is a complete mystery to me.

I guess it's alright if I just help myself.
I even promise to like them which is just too likely to happen. (What a stupid sentence. Me, ever so eloquent.)
Thanks for putting up the files anyway.

How come you haven't heard them before? I copied the CD I have for Dani. I assumed she'd give you the goods too.

Dani loves rivalry and secrecy. She never tells me anything, she even hides her new CDs when I come to her place and she keeps all her new discoveries a secret just so she'll have the bigger record collection one day.

Is it possible to fall even more in love with a song you've had on repeat for months? Because that's what's been happening with Housewives lately. If I love it anymore I fear I'll explode. And Close Cropped is just off the scale. Viva t'bourg. xx

I downloaded the second song. My sister walked in mid-listening, pulled a face and said "whats this?". And I said "guess". The conversation went a bit like this...

Jess: Is it from the Lion King?
Me: No.
Jess: The Little Mermaid?
Me: No.
Jess: Erm.. Aladin?
Me: No.
Jess: It is a new Disney film or an old one?
Me: Clue, it's not Disney.
Jess: Is it from a musical?
Me: No, it's a band.
Jess: It is from a some mix-CDs dedicated to faiding 80s pop stars?
Me: No.
Jess: ..... (long pause).... is it Fred's idea of a joke?

*LOLZ*
Doesn't looks like my sister is much of a Luxembourg fan then...
